Empowering the Graduates-to-Be

This year at FoCh has something special about it. We have the largest batch of graduating students and most of them have been with us right from their Pre-University years. It would be specially rewarding to see them graduating with flying colors, and at the same time take steps to add value to their personalities.

Towards this, 20 students spent four days from 7 to 11 June, 2011 at Graduate Finishing School, where the GFS team conducted an intensive residential workshop with focus on preparing them for their Interviews next year.

The modules covered were Analytical Skills, Introduction to Soft Skills, Effective Communication, Inter personnel Skills, Facing Interviews, Resume Preparation, GD Tips, Career Options and Practice of Frequently asked Interview questions.

Daily the classes started at 9:00AM in the morning and went on till 7:00 PM, the students also used the computer lab facility from evening 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM. On the last day, everyone went to KRS for a memorable outing.

This exercise has tremendously boosted the motivation levels of the students and the bonding among them. We hope the enthusiasm is sustained and would also plan for follow-up sessions in the later part of the academic year.

You are invited to view the photo-album of the workshop here.

All students and volunteers at FoCh Bangalore are extremely thankful to Venky (co-ordinator of GFS and erstwhile FoCh volunteer) and Praveen Gudi (instructor at the camp) to have made this possible.
