There are many ways in which you can contribute to our efforts. Whether it is your time, funds or other resources, we invite you to be part of the FoCh family. Do get in touch with us to know more about our requirements, which keep changing during the course of an academic year.

Financial Help

All activities of the Trust are funded by contributions from our friends, colleagues and acquaintances. We have been able to maintain a NO-overhead-expenses-mode, which means that 100% of the funds collected are channelized to meet the needs of the students in terms of fees, books, bus-pass, etc and all miscellaneous expenses are borne by the volunteers.

Financial contributions can be made by cheque, cash or by online funds transfer as per your convenience. Contributions are exempt from Income Tax u/s 80G of IT Act, 1961.

Volunteer your time

The most significant part of our efforts lies in spending time with the students. We are always keen to add more volunteers to our team, who would be interested in any or more of the below. We engage with the students every Sunday from 10-00 a.m. to 4-00 p.m.

  • Scholastic / academic help: We welcome volunteers who would like to help the students academically, especially in Commerce Subjects.
  • Mentoring & Tracking: Engage with the students to keep them motivated, set periodic goals for the students and track their progress.
  • Personality development & Soft skills:  Conduct personality development activities and train the students on soft-skills, presentation skills, general awareness, etc and prepare them to face the world.
  • English & Communication: Regular and committed volunteers who would like to help students with spoken English and Communication skills
  • Career guidance: Provide information about various courses and learning options to children.

Note: Knowledge of Kannada for any of the above would be helpful, but not essential.

Help through references

You can be a resource person for us if you can offer references such as those mentioned below.

  • Professionals or educationists who can assist in specific skills (e.g. relevant Software packages, vocational trainings, etc) & Life-skills
  • Network with companies/agencies for full-time or part-time job opportunities for our students. There are students who need placement assistance after completing their graduation, and also those who need to work part-time while studying because of domestic circumstances.
  • Educational institutions who can offer admissions and/or study material at reduced fees
