Support for Kannada medium 10th class students
As a part of our support to the children who are in school, we sponsor the tuition fee for 10th class Kannada medium students who are studying in St Theresa School, near to K R Market slum. Last year we funded this program and we saw tremendous results: 99% of the students passed as opposed to around 60% till the previous year. The event costs Rs 4,000 per month and the program runs for 8 months (till their exams are over in April-2004). So, this program needs a fund of Rs 32,000.

We are looking forward for your support in one or more of the above activities. We also request you to personally visit the children whom we are supporting.

Talent Display Day
The Sunday November 16th, for November 14th children's day, was celebrated as Talent Display Day by the students. 60 of our students were divided into 6 groups randomly and were asked to name the top five talents which they have. And then the surprise part for them: they were asked to show those talents. They did many activities like singing, mono-action, stage play and so on. This is a part of personality development activity for the students.

 

Disha 2003
A science workshop by Hari Parameswaran of Dynam creativity was organized for 65 students in 8th/9th/10th standard students from various government and corporation schools was organized on November 20th at St Theresa school. This motivated the St Theresa school children to start their own science club and make models on their own. A half day workshop on creative thinking was organized by Hari on December 2nd for 12 teachers from these schools. And, to conclude the event, we organized a science fair on Decemebr 14th at St Theresa school. 40 teams participated to show their models. All the three events were sponsered by Synopsys (I) Pvt Ltd.
