How Can You Contribute?

Financial Help

All the activities so far have been funded by contributions from our friends, colleagues and acquaintances. We have been able to maintain a NO-overhead-expenses-model and we strive to maintain the same. Meaning, any of the miscellaneous expenses are borne by the volunteers.

Contributions can be made in the form of account payee cheque on "Friends of Children Trust" in Indian rupees. Currently we can not accept foreign currency due to tax laws. You can personally drop-in and hand-over the cheque to us at St Theresa school between 11:00am and 2:00pm on Sundays. You can also send the cheques by post to the address:

The donations are exempt from Income Tax under section 80G.

Volunteer your time

·  Scholastic Help : If you'd like to volunteer to help students with their scholastic problems, you'd be a great help. We meet the kids at St. Teresa's School at Chamarajpet every weekend. Note: Knowledge of Kannada would be helpful, but is not essential.

·  Career guidance: Provide mentoring and career guidance. Provide information about various courses, exam dates and so on.

Material Donation

We do accept donations in kind (books, educational-CDs, science kits etc) 

Corporate Support/Sponsorship

Some of the corporates have support schemes for supporting of organisations for a social cause. You could help us by getting your organisation to support us.
Many educational institutions & teachers have helped us by giving our students admissions and study material at discounted rates. Incase you know of head of educational institutes, you could help us in securing seats for the students at reduced fee.

Help through references

You could be a resource person.

·  Do you know of professionals/educationists who would be willing to devote some time for our children?

·  Do you know of people who would like to conduct personality development workshops and life skills? Having to go through domestic difficulties which are basic in nature the children need life skills programs to cope with the problems.

·  Do you know of people who would like to conduct communication workshops and english classes - written/spoken. Some of the children having been from kannada medium background face difficulties in coping with the language at higher classes.
